Flyball is a dog sport in which teams of dogs race against each other from a start/finish line, over a line of hurdles, to a box that releases a tennis ball to be caught when the dog presses the spring loaded pad, then back to their handlers while carrying the ball. Flyball is run in teams of four dogs, as a relay.

New to 2019 Family Pet Expo’s it’s BARN HUNT
Come and check out the newest Canine Sport – BARN HUNT- demonstrations by “Central K9s” daily with the opportunity to “TRY-IT” with your dog.
Barn Hunt has its roots in the long-standing tradition of the farm working dog. One of the most important jobs the working dog had was to keep vermin at bay, protecting both crops and families from damage and the spread of disease.
Many breeds have been developed with this behavior in mind, but nearly all dogs love to chase a scent.
Not everyone will understand the importance of “rat catchers,” but if you live in the countryside, you sure do! “Rat catchers” rid farms of destructive vermin – and the hunting and teamwork skills required to do so are the foundation of the sport of Barn Hunt. Dogs and their handlers work as a team to locate and mark rats (which are always safely held in aerated tubes) hidden in a maze of straw or hay bales.
Check the schedule for the time of the demonstrations and afterwards you can sign up to try this with your dog for a nominal fee
